In an interview, the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah has assured the general public that there will be no re-run of the 2023 general elections.
He said our politics is supposed to be peaceful and engaging with each other, l have respect for Dr. Samura Kamara and others at APC, that is the foundation we are trying to lay. This Country belongs to us all, we can disagree without being disagreeable.
In answering to a question from the comments during the interview on a possible re-run of the general elections, he replied by saying “I will assure the people of this country that the election has been run, the time for the election has been exhausted completely, we have a winner who was His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, we have a Parliament that is functioning, and we have a cabinet so nothing is going to change, that is the fact, if anyone tells you otherwise, I say, you are being misled and it is my job to give you that information and I have promised to be truthful to you.
“Even if you listen to Dr. Samura Kamara’s speech in his press conference there was no mention of him running for election, even Dr. Samura Kamara was talking about dialogue with the Government which tells you there is a government.
“We will continue to have this conversation about who does this how we will engage and how we will make things better for the people of this country the conversations with the international partners were to make sure that the mistakes that happened today will not repeated in the future.
“Those who are calling on the publication of the results need to understand two important things before I leave here, one is that there had been no election in the past that ECSL was asked to publish what people are asking them to publish.
“The results are published at all the polling stations and APC say they have the results, and they should publish them if they have but they did not because the rules are clear the other things that people need to understand are that before the election, commonwealth, Dr. Samura Kamara and President Bio signed to a process which includes certain rules set and those rules don’t include what they are asking the ECSL of, ECSL did not violate any rules so it is good for people to understand this which is one and two, all that people are asking for is an extra against the law that has been compiled.
“Even those on social media who had been talking about it have stopped because the Law was complied with fully.”
Mr Minister you have nothing to tell the people of this country ok you, yourself know that your government rigged this election
Mr. Communication Minister, pls. don’t mislead the people. ECSL has the mandate to let us know the results .
Mr minister thank you sir,samura kamara did not do anything relevant to win the election,he was there acting comedy thinking that sierra leoneans are ready to have a comedian for a president,let him go back to adebayor and Sara de great who were his campaign managers.Samura kamara is trying the impossible, the “forgot conclusion”.

Mr Minister has said the fact, PERIOD! People, stop wasting your breathe. ECSL has the mandate to announce the results and give out the RRFs by polling stations and they have done so. It seems as if most of these people don’t know what they are asking for. We see that it is the blind leading the blind because whatever the politicians are saying, is what the fools will echo without knowing the facts. No wonder APC keeps on fooling their followers.
Some fools are on the social media writing all types of rubbish we going to have a rerun election we would appointment them as commissioner cuz our own commissioner is not the one to conduct their stupidity and insane taught
Bad politicians always think about there pocket you are not saying any truth here if you are them tell the nation the truth about the stealing results of 2023 which is the right of the the people but it a shame you can do that
