On Tuesday 30th August 2022, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Francis M. Kai-Kai together with the United Nations Development Programme – UNDP in Sierra Leone Resident Representative, Pa Lamin Beyai co-chaired the UNDP Country Programme Document (CPD) 2020-2023 board meeting.

The main purpose of the meeting was to assess progress in the implementation of the Annual Work Plans (AWPs) and explore possible ways of accelerating program delivery in the remaining months of the year.

The meeting was also used as an opportunity to discuss possible ways to accelerate program delivery, which may include re-alignment or re-allocation of core resources to performing projects.

It was agreed that the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework be extended for a year to continue supporting the Medium-Term National Development Plan (2019-2023).
