Sierra Leone’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Ibrahim Alpha Sesay has Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Guinean Minister of Economy which may be a step towards Solidarity and Cooperation.
It was noted that the agreement comes as a response to the devastating fire explosion that occurred on December 18, 2023, at the main fuel terminal in Conakry, Guinea. The MOU allows Guinea to utilize the territory and storage facilities of Sierra Leone temporarily, while they work towards resolving their storage system issues.
