The Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (MoD/RSLAF) has issued a public notice regarding the upcoming eviction of illegal occupants and demolition of illegal structures within military barracks.

The notice highlights the growing number of illegal occupants and makeshift structures within Western Area Barracks and upcountry Formations and Units.

In an effort to maintain security within all RSLAF Barracks, the MoD/RSLAF has scheduled an eviction exercise and demolition of illegal structures from Saturday, January 20, 2024, to Sunday, January 28, 2024.

All individuals occupying illegal structures or residing as illegal occupants within Military Barracks are strongly advised to vacate the premises with immediate effect. This action is deemed necessary to ensure maximum security, command, and control within all Barracks locations.
