Sierra Leone is set to host the Third African High-Level Forum on South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from May 7 to 9, 2025, at the International Convention Centre in Freetown.

The event, organized by the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), will bring together key stakeholders from across Africa and the world to discuss strengthening economic resilience, political cohesion, and governance.

Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, noted, “The more we host such high-level events, the more we attract international interest and investment.”

Sheka Bangura, Director of Planning at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED), spoke on the role the forum will play in positioning Sierra Leone within the global development framework. Tamba Juana, Deputy Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussed the necessity of early planning to accommodate the scale of the event.

The forum will offer a platform for dialogue and cooperation, aimed at advancing Africa’s progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
