The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary School Education (MBSSE) has announced this week as possible new date for the release of the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) results.
The Ministry had earlier announced a 45-day interval for the release of the results, counting from the examination date of 28th May 2021, provided heads of schools cooperate with the ministry by providing the continuous assessment grades of the candidates.
“Meanwhile, the public is assured that the ministry will take appropriate action to ensure that results for NPSE 2021 are released on or before 23rd July 2021,” the statement reads in part.
Its latest press release revealed that nearly 2000 schools across the country delayed in submitting the grades. However, it noted that the ministry was working with the National Council of Head Teachers and Conference of Principals of secondary schools to ensure that the outstanding grades are obtained from those schools.
The statement urged defaulting schools to use this period to address the issues in order to avoid embarrassment while noting that the list of affected schools is available at all district education offices.
A total of 166,495 (one hundred and sixty-six thousand, four hundred and ninety-five) pupils took the examination from both government and private schools across the country in 472 (four hundred and seventy-two) centres.
