The Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation has launched WanGov🇸🇱, a new mobile application designed to simplify access to public services in Sierra Leone.
Described as a “one-stop platform,” WanGov aims to make interacting with government services faster and more convenient for citizens, residents, and businesses.
The Ministry stated that WanGov eliminates the need for long queues and complex paperwork. Users can apply for services, securely submit documents, track applications in real-time, and make payments through the app.
To register, users need a valid Sierra Leonean ID (National ID card, passport, driver’s license, or voter ID) and a Sierra Leonean phone number. The Ministry confirmed that non-citizen registration will be available soon.
WanGov also caters to businesses, offering services such as business registration, tax filings and permits, driver’s license applications (new and renewal), and EDSA new meter installations.
The Ministry announced that more services will be added to the platform in the future, with the goal of making government processes smoother and more efficient for everyone.
A key feature is accessibility from anywhere in the world. “Even if you’re outside Sierra Leone, you can still log into your WanGov account as long as you need,” the Ministry stated.
