The Minister of Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security, Mohamed Rahman Swaray disclosed that his Ministry has facilitated a non-collateral loan of 100 million US Dollars and scholarships for first degree students in the country.

Minister Swaray said the scholarships are worth 2.5 million US Dollars and meant for prep-school and first degree holders in STEM/ AI and Business to pursue post graduate studies from 2024 to 2028.

Swaray the scholarship and loan are part of President Julius Maada Bio’s support to actualize the 500,000 jobs initiative for young citizens in the country.

“I will today join His Excellency the President at the Nekotech Center of Excellence at Rutgers University in New Jersey to secure up to 1000 seats in the USA through the SOS Transfer2Transform initiative for first degree holders” he stated.
