The Ministry of Labour and Social Security is calling on all persons who are interested in operating an overseas Recruitment Agency in Sierra Leone to apply for License through the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

The Ministry also informs the public that it has developed regulatory framework, code of conduct and training manual for overseas recruitment to ensure safe, orderly and regular labour migration.

The Ministry notes that private employment agencies expressing interest for overseas recruitment license must submit their applications with the following attachments:

Business license, NASSIT clearance certificate, Valid insurance policy, Police clearance, NRA clearance, Recruitment cooperation certificate, resume or CV of the head of the applying agency, copy of passport of the head of the applying agency.

Going forward, the Ministry advises the general public to only deal with Recruitment Agencies that have legal licenses to operate.
