The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Minister of State, South, took a decisive step to boost domestic tourism with an exploratory visit to Bush Garden, a thriving tourism destination along the Koribondo Highway near Bo. This visit is part of the ongoing Explore and Discover month under the broader Tourism for All Campaign.
Bush Garden, sprawling across 85 acres, features an amusement park, resort, and marina. Boasting 13 meticulously crafted chalets, the facility aims for optimal visitor satisfaction. Owned by a proud Sierra Leonean, it is gaining recognition as a key attraction for both local and international visitors.
Before the visit, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Tunis, accompanied by key officials, briefed Minister of State, South, Mohamed EK Allie on the purpose of their visit and the thematic focus of the year-long domestic tourism campaign.
Minister of State, South, Mohamed EK Allie, warmly welcomed the delegation, expressing full support for the Ministry’s domestic tourism initiatives. Notable participants from the Southern Region Hotel Association showcased a collaborative effort between the public and private sectors in the tourism industry.
Led by Nabeela Tunis, the delegation meticulously explored Bush Garden, and after the tour, Tunis praised the facility as a beautiful hub for eco-tourism. She applauded the owners for their commitment to preserving the environment and expressed optimism about the facility’s expansion, emphasizing the importance of sustainable tourism practices.
Tunis concluded her assessment by inviting fellow Sierra Leoneans to experience Bush Garden’s allure and reconnect with nature. Her endorsement underscores the potential contribution of Bush Garden to the country’s tourism sector.
