The Ministry of Youth Affairs has entered into a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Canadian Embassy in Freetown, marking a significant step toward strengthening youth empowerment and skills development across Sierra Leone.
The agreement, signed during a ceremony held in Freetown, underscores the shared commitment of both parties to invest in the next generation and promote sustainable development through international cooperation.
According to the Ministry, the partnership aims to create more opportunities for young people by enhancing capacity-building initiatives, technical training, and employment prospects.
Officials from both the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Canadian Embassy expressed optimism that the collaboration will pave the way for a more empowered and skilled youth population capable of contributing meaningfully to national development.
The signing of the MoU represents a continuation of Sierra Leone’s efforts to strengthen bilateral partnerships focused on advancing development priorities, particularly in youth empowerment and innovation.
