Popular rapper, entrepreneur, and former Miss Sierra Leone, Natasha Beckley, is expected to appear at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters in Freetown on Tuesday, following allegations linking her to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

The Sierra Leone Police had last week issued a public “WANTED” notice for Beckley, offering a reward for information leading to her arrest. The warrant, numbered C/R NO. 161/2025, was issued by the Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU).

According to the police, Beckley is wanted on charges of unlawful possession of narcotic drugs and related offenses.

Authorities reported raiding a property at No. 8 Campbell Lane, Fourah Bay Road on June 13, 2025, where they discovered materials allegedly used in drug processing, including shredded leaves, acetone containers, gas masks, and weighing scales.

Police also said the Freetown City Council (FCC) was contacted to verify ownership of the building believed to be owned by Natasha Beckley. A claim, which the Mayor of Freetown has denied.

“Freetown City Council does not have any basis for confirming property ownership,” Mayor Aki-Sawyerr stated unequivocally. “Property ownership can only be confirmed by the Administrator & Registrar-General at Roxy Building.”

Assistant Inspector General of Police Brima Kamara had confirmed that an official warrant was issued for Beckley’s arrest, emphasizing that the police have “credible evidence” in the case.

Meanwhile, Beckley has publicly denied the allegations, characterizing the warrant as a politically motivated attack designed to undermine her candidacy for the Deputy Chairmanship of the All People’s Congress in Port Loko district.
