The National Communication Authority (NatCA) has issued a directive to all Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) mandating strict adherence to the validity periods of data subscriptions as advertised.

The order, announced in a public notice today, requires that data bundles purchased by consumers remain valid for the stated duration—be it daily, weekly, or monthly.

In the notice, NatCA also addressed the ongoing discussions surrounding the Fair Usage Policy (FUP), which seeks to manage excessive data consumption by individual users. The authority assured the public that updates on the policy will be provided once final decisions are reached.

Additionally, NatCA urged MNOs to compensate consumers for recent network interruptions. While the process of issuing compensation is still underway, the authority called for public patience as operators work to resolve the matter.

The notice further confirmed that top-up bonuses for credit and data recharges remain accessible across all mobile networks. NatCA emphasized its commitment to improving consumer satisfaction and ensuring fairness in the telecommunications sector.
