The National Youth Commission has on the 16th September 2023 certified 200 youths who successfully went through a 17-day Beauty and Cosmetology skills training in Kono District.

This was done in collaboration with their partners GIZ to help capacitate these youths in the district as part of their basic activities within the country.

The Deputy Commissioner, Emerson Kamara Expressed the point that, the government is pleased with such a partnership which is in line with achieving one of President Bio’s big five changers which is human capital development that will lead to one of the changers; youth employment scheme by providing 500,000 jobs in five years.

He added that, the Government of President Bio believes in Public and Private Partnerships while thanking GIZ for such a long Service to the People of Sierra Leone and assured commitment from the government in addressing the needs of its citizens.

He congratulated all graduates for the bold steps taken to achieve this great success. He encouraged them to see such success as a stepping stone to achieving more, adding that, the certificate is key and a start for them to have greater future in their daily jobs.
