The Native Consortium and Research Centre has engaged members of the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and other focus groups in a non-violence session ahead of the general elections.

The Native Consortium and Research Centre is an implementing partner of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) in making sure that, most of the works and plans are propagated.

The engagement was based on the wider public on electoral education and researching out to communities on the proportional representation electoral system.

The training also captured awareness raising for stakeholders and communities on the PR system as well as capacitating peace and love ambassadors for non-violence to catch up with the June 24th general elections in the country.

The consortium targeted the Nation’s Capital and all Regional Headquarter towns ranging from Freetown, Makeni, Bo and Kenema.
