One of the leading Civil Society Organisations in Sierra Leone, Native Consortium & Research Center has issued a public notice debunking fake news making rounds on social media that fuel pump prices have been increased to Le24.

The Native Consortium & Research Center informed the general public that the fuel price is still Le 20 per liter, and there has been no price increment.

“The release making the rounds that the pump price of fuel has been increased to Le 24 is fake, malicious, dangerous and a contagious wishful thinking by some unpatriotic Sierra Leoneans to create chaos,” the Consortium stated.

“We further ask the public that any Dealer who sells beyond Le 20 per liter must be reported either to PRA or Native Consortium on 076 617240,” they added.
