The National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA) held a crucial Technical Working Group meeting at its headquarters on King Harman Road, focusing on improving birth and death registration processes in Sierra Leone.

The initiative aims to strengthen coordination among various stakeholders involved in civil registration.

The recent meeting follows an earlier discussion held on October 8, 2024, at the Cabenda Hotel. During that session, participants began exploring the development of a harmonized and efficient Birth and Death Register.

Key topics of discussion included fostering collaboration among stakeholders and advancing the establishment of a modern and reliable Birth and Death Registry that is universally accepted.

The NCRA emphasized that the outcomes from this meeting are expected to significantly enhance service delivery and data management through the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system throughout the country.
