Following the announcement of the Provisional Result of the Mid-Term census on 31″ May 2022, The National Electorial Commission has requested for data from Statistics Sierra Leone.

The Chief Electoral Commissioner of the National Electoral Commission (NEC) Mohamed Kenewui Konneh has in a letter to statistics Sierra Leone requested data on Provisional population figures per district and Provisional population figures per council/locality

The commissioner state in the letter that, the Electoral Commission is charged with the responsibility of delimiting electoral boundaries using data from statistics sierra Leone under Section 38 of the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone.

The letter state that the information is required by the Electoral Commission for the review of electoral boundaries.
