The National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA) has announced the launch of an Online Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) Portal, aimed at simplifying the registration and engagement of suppliers, contractors, and consultants seeking to do business with the Government of Sierra Leone.

The announcement was made through Public Notice Circular 02–2025, issued from NPPA headquarters at Tower Hill, Freetown, and addressed to all suppliers, contractors, consultants, procuring entities, and the general public.

According to the notice, the e-GP Portal is introduced in line with Regulation 10(2) of the Public Procurement Regulations, 2020, as part of the government’s broader initiative to modernize the national procurement system. The portal is expected to provide a more transparent, efficient, and accountable process, while ensuring ease of access for stakeholders nationwide.

By centralizing supplier registration and procurement processes online, the NPPA aims to reduce bureaucratic delays, enhance compliance with procurement regulations, and create a competitive and inclusive business environment for both local and international stakeholders.

Suppliers and service providers are encouraged to use the e-GP Portal to register and maintain profiles, access tender notices, and engage with government procurement opportunities efficiently. NPPA officials stressed that the portal will serve as a reliable platform for facilitating government contracts, ensuring that procurement practices meet international standards of transparency and integrity.

The introduction of the e-GP Portal aligns with Sierra Leone’s digital transformation agenda, reinforcing the government’s commitment to modernization, good governance, and public sector accountability.

For more information or guidance on using the portal, stakeholders are advised to contact NPPA headquarters at Tower Hill, Freetown.
