An APC politician, Abu Bakarr Box Conteh has posted a writeup on Facebook saying that the just released NPSE result shows a data point that discredits the mid-term census results for Western Area Urban.
According to him, the 2022 NPSE results reveals thatthe number of children that took the NPSE in Western Area Urban (Freetown) increased between 2021 and 2022 whilst the number of children that took the NPSE in Kenema decreased between 2021 and 2022.

The NPSE results published by MBSSE provides another data point that discredits the provisional mid-term census results for Western Area Urban (Freetown). According to the provisional mid-term census results, the population of Western Area Urban (Freetown) decreased by 42.5% to 606,701 whilst the population of Kenema increased by 26.6% to 772,472.
The 2022 NPSE results show that 29,091 children took the exam in Western Area Urban (Freetown) whilst 13,700 children took the exam in Kenema. Interestingly the number of children that took the NPSE in Western Area Urban (Freetown) increased between 2021 and 2022 whilst the number of children that took the NPSE in Kenema decreased between 2021 and 2022.”
