The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has intensified its public education campaign on tax compliance during a civic engagement organised by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education in Kamakwie Town, Karene District.

The engagement brought together stakeholders, students, and members of the public to highlight the importance of domestic revenue mobilisation for national development.

Speaking on behalf of the NRA, Supervisor at the Public Affairs and Tax Education (PATE) Unit, Mr. Alex Dumas Kuyembeh, outlined the Authority’s mandate, stressing that tax compliance is both a legal obligation and a civic responsibility essential for national growth.

Participants were also sensitised on key NRA reforms, including the Electronic Cash Register (ECR) system and the Product Tracing System (PTS), as well as updates on the 2026 Finance Act.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of requesting and issuing GST receipts as part of efforts to promote transparency and accountability in revenue collection.
