The Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority (NRA) has announced the implementation of the annual circulation permit levy in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA)

They maintained that, the payment process will be through the NRA Payment Application (NRA APP), effective 2nd April 2024, adding that, the initiative is in accordance with section 11 of the Finance Act 2023.

The NRA APP will facilitate the payment of the Annual Circulation Permit Levy, as well as the payment of income taxes for registration of commercial Motor Bikes (Okada) and commercial Tricycles (Kekehs). It is imperative to note that mechanized equipment falling under the purview of the Annual Circulation Permit Levy includes both private and commercial cars, trucks, and buses. In light of the foregoing, members of the public are strongly encouraged to adhere to this notice and utilize the NRA APP for the aforementioned payment processes.

They added that, the collaboration between the NRA and SLRSA aims to streamline payment procedures and enhance compliance with regulatory requirements.
