In a bid to produce trained and qualified nurses in the country, the Sierra Leone Nurse and Midwives Board has published list of institutions which are allowed to conduct trainings for nurses for in the country.
The Board announced seven institutions accredited for offering programs that turn out nurses for the medical sector. The seven institutions are the only nursing schools granted permission to train nurses and to send nurses to with medical institutions to the Ministry of health and Sanitation.
These institutions include:
Faculty of Nursing, COMAHS, Freetown
ST. John of God Catholic School of Nursing, Lunsar
Department of Nursing, EBK University, Makeni
Department of Nursing, Tonkolili District College of Science and Technology, Masanga
Department of Nursing, College of Community Sciences, Njala Bo Campus
Department of Nursing, Eastern Polytechnic School of Nursing, Kenema
Matru School of Nursing, Matru Jong
Good evening we have paid for our children fees at Every Nation college to do SRN because they published an advertisement for such a program in their institution but I not see their college name among the accredited nursing schools can nursing board come to the aid of we the parents that had paid for our children to acredit the said college for nursing programs
