Sierra leone’s Petroleum Regulatory Agency (PRA) has assured of the availability of petroleum products to serve residents throughout the festive season and beyond.
The Agency gave this assurance in press release issued today, Thursday 15 December 2022, regarding the current situation of long queues at fuel stations across the country.
“Petroleum Regulatory Agency (PRA) has observed queues at some retail outlets in the major cities for Petrol. This situation is as a result of some delay on the planned import that has affected the supply chain. However, government has taken adequate measures to restore normalcy,” the Agency stated.
The PRA further assured that there is sufficient Diesel, Jet Fuel and MFO to serve the market up to February 2023.
“Though few Oil Marketers are at deadstock levels for petrol, there is sufficient petrol stock level till the next replenishment due this week,” PRA noted.
Accordingly, PRA further assured the general public and industry operators that there will be NO CHANGES in pump prices for the rest of 2022.
