January 24-30, 2022 declared fasting and prayer for Sierra Leone by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Sierra Leone (PFSL) with the theme “Cleansing and preserving our Land.”

The fasting which kicked off today Monday 24th January at 12:00 Midnight will run to 4:00 PM while cooperate player will go on at various zones and churches from 3:00-5:00 PM Daily for seven days.

President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Sierra Leone (PFSL) Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly described the month of January as a crucial month in the calendar of churches, Nations and all serious-minded bodies and institutions.

In Sierra Leone, we are faced with Mountain challenges that range from the rise of occult and their boldness to hinder kingdom activities, the increased allegiance to underworld activities, economic challenge, COVID-19 issues, land matters, unity battles, and many more challenging issues, some are more heinous in nature and in their potential.

According to Awareness Times Newspaper, there will soon be heightened activities towards the forthcoming National Elections. Many battles are emanating from the satanic forces and are threatening the very existence of our national peace and the spiritual atmosphere required for the propagation of the gospel of Christ.” Much prayer and fasting he added is already going on across the land.

Bishop Sam-Jolly ready 2 chronicles 7:14 “if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I here from healing and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.”
