Plan International Sierra Leone in collaboration with the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education SL (MBSSE) organise a two-day Learning Event at the Mamba Point Hotel in Freetown to share experiences on the implementation of the Integrated School Feeding Programme (ISFP).
High Level partners in the School Feeding Programme: WFP, CRS, Caritas Sierra Leone, government representatives and Plan staff shared experiences on the challenges and successes of the ISFP .
In her opening statement, the Deputy Minister of MBSSE, Honourable Mamusu Patico Komeh stated “Today, we are honoured with the partnership of Plan which has grown from six chiefdoms in two years and currently in seven districts out of 16. This makes 41% coverage, implementing in 52 chiefdoms, accessing 1,349 primary schools and 375, 431 pupils, making Plan International, our largest implementing partner”.
The Country Director of Plan International Sierra Leone, Evariste Sindayigaya appreciated the leadership of the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education whose vision, he said, motivated the need for a learning event.
