The Local Unit Commander of Waterloo Division, CSP Mr. Ibrahim M Sama has on Wednesday the 21st day of June 2023, arrested a total of 15 people, comprising 2 women and 13 men, from various communities around Waterloo.
They were arrested for the offences of Unlawful Protests and Incitement after they were caught with placards demonstrating on the major streets and roads of Waterloo.
The 15 arrested persons, who seemed to be in high spirits, have refused to make statements to the Waterloo Police insisting that they need to see their lawyers first.
This doesn’t make sense at all. Let allow peace ✌️🕊️

Why arrest peaceful protesters when they them selves gave clearance to for the demonstration…it’s just unnecessary harrasment all we need is freedom and let the right thing been done that all they need to do now
This is the problem with those fools that call themselves police, how on earth will you tamper with the rights of citizens, their act towards citizens is unprofessional this is why we are tired of the SLPP regime. To demonstrate you must have approval from the police. APC did not have permit to be on the street today so it makes sense to arrest them. why are these people so lawless. Your commander Adebayor who ordered you to out will represent you.
