Following concerns from the National Security Council (NSC) over the security issues related to the procession of mask devils including lantern parades, the Sierra Leone Police has confirmed that the moratorium placed on them is yet to be lifted.
This notwithstanding, SLP further confirmed that the situation had been reviewed from time to time and Esoteric groups like Orjeh, Hunting and others that are comparatively better organized with less security threats are now allowed to play.
All REGPOLS of SLP are further directed not to allow to any Ordelay or Lantern to parade or process in their Area of responsibility.
I really can’t fully understand what’s going on in our country. President is requesting for prayers to be offered in churches and mosques, and police is endorsing devils to celebrate. Is this not foolishness to the highest degree? Oh Salone. GOD help us!!!

This is a clear sign of division in the country.
The president is requesting for prayers to be made on the said day. And the security sector is requesting the contrary.
Light and darkness are never friends.
