In a recent operation led by the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU), police officials raided a suspected drug production site on Taylor Street, Fourah Bay Road, and uncover a substantial quantity of narcotics and materials indicative of illegal drug manufacturing.
The operation was spearheaded by Chief Superintendent of Police Mr. M.K. Alieu, following critical intelligence provided by the Regional Commander for Freetown West, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Mr. Sylvester M.N. Koroma.
The intelligence suggested that a three-storey building on Taylor Street was being used for the production of kush and other harmful narcotic substances.
Upon receiving the intelligence, AIG Koroma authorized the deployment of personnel to assist TOCU in executing the operation. The tactical entry into the premises revealed a significant cache of suspected narcotic substances, various liquid chemicals, gas masks, and digital scales, all of which strongly indicated ongoing drug manufacturing activities. Notably, the building was unoccupied at the time of the raid.
In a bid to uphold transparency and foster community engagement, local stakeholders were invited to witness the operation. However, none were able to provide information regarding the identity of the occupants or the ownership of the property in question.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, seeking to unravel the network behind the illicit drug production.
If nobody comes forward to claim ownership of the properties or responsibility for manufacturing drugs, the three storey building should be demolished to ground level.
Problems solved.
Hmmmm let them continue to investigate , people will show up.
