The Sierra Leone Police have confirmed the detention of Edwina Jamiru, a law student at Four Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, over allegations of cyber-related offenses.

​The confirmation was made by ACP Brima Kamara, the Head of Police Media, speaking to Liberty Online TV.

What is known is that Edwina Jamiru was taken into custody based on the allegations, though the specific nature of the offenses is related to cybercrime on the 8th of December, 2025.

Responding to the reasons why the police invited Edwina Jamiru, ACP Brima Kamara stated that, “ it is a cyber-related offense: stalking, harassment. ”

When asked who Edwina Jamiru is stalking, harassing, or who formally reported her, ACP Brima Kamara said he can’t state the name of the complainant, and up till now, it has not yet been detailed.
