In a consultative meeting held on Saturday 15th July 2023 with a cross-section of executive members and park chairmen of the Motor Bike Riders Association, the police Regional Commander of Freetown-East ACP Dr. John Martin Senesie expressed his thanks and appreciation for the role of motorbike riders towards society and nation building.
He however expressed concern about how few riders conduct themselves by indulging in the intake of harmful drugs like Kush and Tramadol. He therefore urged the various representatives to sensitize their members to stay away from these drugs (Kush & Tramadol) as they can lead to death or insanity.
ACP Senesie also encouraged all motorbike riders to be law-abiding and help fight crime by providing timely information to the police about criminal activities.
Similar messages were also re-echoed by the LUC, Regional Crime Officer, Operations Officer, and the DTO of the Harbour Police Division.
Ishmael Sandy and other motorbike rider representatives applauded the Regional Commander for consulting with them and promised to fully work as partners to combat crime.
Finally, a proposed unity football match was scheduled for the 29th of July 2023, between the Police versus Motorbike Riders. All are invited to the Attouga Mini Stadium to witness this historic encounter.
