The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) Medical Services, in collaboration with the Surgeons in Action Foundation from Spain, is set to host a free surgical campaign for less privileged Sierra Leoneans.

The program will run from 19th to 28th September 2025 at the Sierra Leone Police Hospital, Kingtom Police Barracks, Freetown. The initiative is made possible through the leadership of Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, and the efforts of ASP Dr. John Mumuneh Konteh, Deputy Medical Director and Medical Superintendent of the Sierra Leone Police Medical Services.

The Surgeons in Action Foundation provides advanced surgical care to underserved populations. Their visit to Sierra Leone will include free operations as well as opportunities for knowledge sharing, skills transfer, and capacity building for local medical staff.

Registration for the free surgical campaign is ongoing, and interested patients are encouraged to register early.
