The Sierra Leone Police have concluded their investigation into the alleged murder of 28-year-old Sia Kamara, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Brima Kamara, the Head of Police Media. The case is expected to be charged to court within the next twenty-four hour.

Speaking on Radio Democracy’s “Good Morning Salone” program, ACP Kamara confirmed that the investigation has been finalized and the file was submitted to the Law Enforcement Department last Friday. After reviewing the case, the department requested certain adjustments, which have now been completed, paving the way for the matter to be heard in court.

Sia Kamara reportedly died after being brutally beaten by her boyfriend, an assault that allegedly took place weeks prior to her death. A postmortem examination revealed that Kamara suffered severe injuries, including a fractured spine and seven broken ribs.

The accused, who allegedly confessed to the crime, was initially held at the Lumley Police Station before being transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters for further investigation.
