There has been series of complaints from different polling stations at the Port Loko District, the North West Province of Sierra Leone over delays in starting the voter process in the different polling places.

It is 8:00 a.m and some of the Polling stations in that part of the country has still not settled down. Voting aught to have been started at 7:00 am according to the dictates of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone, however such had not been met.

According to some of these centers PCMs, the delays is as a result of the Voters materials not being sent to them early. Some said they have not got all the materials they needed, hence they are waiting for them to arrive.

At ward 235, the delay is said to be coming from the interferences of a certain Foday who was identified as an SLPP party agent.

” the SLPP party agent wanted to make a scene in the ward but thank God the police was swift to March him out” explained a voter.

Sierraloaded spoke to some of the PCM at some centers and some assured that they will likely extend the time for voters depending on the voters turnouts.
