The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) has once again been named the Best Performing Agency under the Ministry of Transport and Aviation (MTA) for 2025, earning recognition for its exceptional performance, leadership, and sustained commitment to excellence in the maritime sector.

Presenting the citation, the Senior Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, Edward Kwame Yankson, noted that the honour reflects SLPHA’s remarkable efforts in promoting efficiency, productivity, and service delivery across its operations.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Director General, Yankuba Askia Bio, the Director of Research, Planning & Development, Abubakarr Sidique Kamara Esq., described the achievement as a testament to the Authority’s hard work and focused leadership.

He reaffirmed SLPHA’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Ministry’s goals and enhancing national maritime services.
