The Political Parties Registration Commission Sierra Leone (PPRC-SL) has engaged representatives from different political parties across the country ahead of the June multi-tier elections.
The meeting which was rolled out in parliament was meant to discuss critical provisions in the Political Parties Act No. 25 of 2022.
It is recorded that, the Chairman of the Commission, Abdulai M. Bangura has completed an engagement with key partners as well as a delegation from the ECOWAS peace and security architecture and operations project (EPSAO) to discuss their preparedness ahead of the elections.
The Chairman’s statement to the high-power delegation from the Commonwealth to Sierra Leone indicated that the commission is in top gear to ensure that peace is maintained before, during, and after the June elections.
