The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has lifted the suspension earlier imposed on the All People’s Congress (APC) following the party’s payment of an outstanding fine amounting to Le350,000.

The APC had been suspended for failing to meet the deadline for the payment of the fine. However, hours after the suspension was announced, the party settled the full amount, and the Commission confirmed receipt of the payment.

In a letter addressed to the APC Secretariat and dated 11th February 2026, the PPRC stated that it had reviewed the circumstances surrounding the suspension.

“Following the Party’s compliance with the payment of the fines imposed, the Commission is pleased to notify your Party that the suspension is hereby lifted with immediate effect,” the letter read.

The Commission noted that the decision restores the APC to full operational status. As a result, the party is now permitted to resume all political activities, including meetings, internal elections, and other administrative and operational functions, in accordance with the Political Parties Act (No. 25) of 2022.

The PPRC further urged the APC to continue upholding the provisions of the law and to maintain full compliance with all directives and obligations required of registered political parties.
