President Julius Maada Bio expressed his condolences earlier today on his social media platform, X, as he bid farewell to the late Dr. S. U. M. Jah, a highly respected medical practitioner and devoted public servant.
Dr. Jah, who served Sierra Leone in various high-ranking governmental roles, has left a significant impact on the nation through his unwavering commitment to public service.
In his statement, President Bio highlighted Dr. Jah’s lifetime dedication to improving the lives of others, both as a healthcare professional and as a leader within the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP). Dr. Jah was also recognized for his deep ties to Bo School and the Old Bo Boys Association (OBBA), where he served as an inspirational figure to many.
“Dr. Jah both inspired and touched so many lives,” President Bio stated. “He was a role model in his commitment to Bo School and OBBA. He will be sorely missed but always fondly remembered.”
The President expressed his deepest condolences to the Jah family, acknowledging the profound loss felt by those who knew and admired Dr. Jah. “My profound condolences go to the Jah family. Thank you for letting us share the virtues, life, and services of Dr. Jah,” he concluded.
Dr. Jah’s passing marks the end of a distinguished career and life dedicated to the service of Sierra Leone, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered and honored by many.
