

SLTU President Elect Sets to Take Over Office

The President-elect of the Sierra Leone Teachers Union (SLTU), Ibrahim Bankapoma Kargbo will take over office in an inauguration ceremony slated for Thursday, 2 March 2023 at the Hotel 5’10 in Freetown.
The event which will attract a galaxy of government officials, Sierra Leone Labour Congress (SLLC), Trade Union Groups, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) as well as SLTU officials from various districts, regional heads, and national will witness the formal handing over ceremony of the outgoing president to the incoming.

The President-elect, started as an activist some time and also worked with the National Executive Committee (NEC), representing the East Zone for eight years.
He later became the Vice President of the Union for the Western Region from 2018-2022.

He was elected as President of the SLTU national at their National Delegates Conference held in Freetown.
