The Presidential Hajj Task Force (PHTF) has officially announced a nationwide regional outreach tour aimed at streamlining travel arrangements for the 2026 Hajj edition.

The initiative, which began on Saturday, April 11, is part of the government’s ongoing transition from informal structures to a modernized, digital system designed to align with Saudi Arabia’s official Hajj platforms.

The outreach program specifically targets intending pilgrims who have already completed their official registration and medical screenings at the Hajj Secretariat in Freetown.

The PHTF Outreach Team will be visiting provincial and regional headquarters over the next four days to provide face-to-face assistance. All sessions are scheduled from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm

According to the public notice issued by the PHTF, the tour serves several critical functions to ensure the safety and spiritual fulfillment of the pilgrims: Experts will provide guidance on the proper handling of travel documents and protocols.

Officials will be on-site to verify records, including the passports of all registered 2026 intending pilgrims.

The team will emphasize strict adherence to health regulations mandated by the Saudi Arabian authorities. Pilgrims will receive briefings on the social and spiritual ethics of the Hajj, and the team will also offer preliminary information regarding the process for the 2027 Hajj.

The Task Force has urged all registered and medically screened pilgrims to attend one of the meetings most convenient to their location. Attendees are strictly required to bring their original documents and passports for verification.

For those residing in the Western Area, the notice clarifies that they are encouraged to submit their documents, including passports, directly to the Hajj Secretariat in Freetown between April 16 and April 19, 2026.

The PHTF emphasized that these rigorous oversight measures are essential to guarantee a secure and effectively organized experience for all Sierra Leonean pilgrims heading to the Holy Land of Makkah.
