Telecommunications provider QCELL Sierra Leone and the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) have formalized a new partnership, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening collaboration between the private sector and the military.

The agreement marks a significant step in aligning the operations of both institutions toward “mutual growth” and areas of common interest.

While specific operational details of the pact were not immediately disclosed, the signing ceremony underscored a shared commitment to national development.

In a statement regarding the partnership, QCELL framed the move as part of its broader corporate strategy to position itself as a key partner in nation-building, rather than solely a telecommunications operator.

The company highlighted its dedication to supporting initiatives that strengthen national capacity and drive sustainable development across Sierra Leone. Both parties expressed optimism that the collaboration will deliver positive outcomes for the country in the near future.
