Sierra Leonean Muslims will be joining the rest of the world to commence Ramadan on Thursday 23rd of March 2023.

As Muslims were anticipating to start of the month of Ramadan on Wednesday, 22nd of March 2023, a report from Saudi Arabia has revealed that it will be commencing on Thursday.

Muslims around the world use the Islamic Calendar known as the Lunar or Hijri calendar a new month begins when a new moon is sighted.

As tradition demands, the new moon was not seen in Saudi Arabia today Tuesday 21st March 2023 which is the leading Islamic state and is above other states in time difference.
