A social media post from Brima Kargbo has drawn attention for its strong praise of Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, and a direct appeal for his future involvement in government under the All People’s Congress (APC).

In the post, Brima Kargbo described Chernor Bah as the most effective, efficient, and accurate Information Minister in the country’s history. He said Bah’s performance in office has set a new standard for the role. Kargbo also stated that if the APC wins the 2028 general elections, Bah should be retained immediately as Minister of Information.

He also credited Bah with playing a key role during the November 26, 2023, attempted coup. According to the post, while Bah was in Ghana at the time, he released a press statement that spread quickly across social and traditional media. Kargbo claimed the message helped calm the situation and prevent further unrest. He described the statement as the most impactful press release in Sierra Leone’s history.

In the same post, Kargbo expressed a clear political view, saying he and others want Bah to be part of the APC, calling him “a young man fit for power”and someone who deserves to continue serving in government.

The November 26 incident involved coordinated attacks on military and police installations in Freetown. Government officials confirmed it was an attempted coup. A number of individuals were arrested, and a nationwide security response was launched. Investigations are still ongoing.

Chernor Bah, who has served as Minister of Information and Civic Education since August 2023, was among the first officials to release statements during the crisis. His press release was widely circulated online and formed part of the government’s early response efforts.

The post by Brima Kargbo has since been shared in multiple forums and political discussion groups. It includes a call for Chernor Bah to join the APC and to be retained as Minister of Information if the party wins the 2028 elections.
