On October 15, 2024, Dr. Richard Konteh, APC leaders Med K and Pa Yanisarh, along with other party members and supporters, accompanied the party leadership to the CID headquarters.

Their mission was to secure the release of 28 party supporters who were arrested during a demonstration at the APC headquarters. The protest occurred while the APC was engaging the international community in discussions with the Sierra Leonean government about electoral justice.

The demonstration saw supporters take to the streets, expressing their anger and dissatisfaction with the current electoral process, holding placards calling for electoral justice.

After six days in CID custody, Dr. Richard Konteh, who worked tirelessly on behalf of the party and its supporters, successfully secured bail for all 28 detainees 26 men and 2 women.

The protesters expressed their deep gratitude to Dr. Konteh, recognizing his unwavering efforts in fighting for their release and seeking justice for the APC.
