The Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) has launched a three-day working retreat in Bo District to develop its 2026–2030 Strategic Development Plan (SDP). The retreat, held at Njala Avenue, is themed: “Transforming SALWACO into a Functional and Financially Viable Institution.”
The initiative is part of SALWACO Managing Director Ing. Tiideni Hawa Jabbi’s 100-day plan. Since assuming office in November 2025, Ing. Jabbi has prioritized the SDP, describing it as a key strategic document to guide the organization’s operations and development over the next five years.
Speaking at the opening, Ing. Jabbi urged staff and stakeholders to actively contribute toward producing a robust, results-driven plan. The retreat is attended by the SALWACO Board Chairman, board members, management, and a cross-section of staff.
The strategic plan is expected to strengthen SALWACO’s operations, enhance institutional performance, and guide decision-making for the coming five years.
