Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, the former Flag Bearer of the All Peoples Congress (APC) party, has been invited by the Cyber Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for an interview on matters related to electoral justice.
The CID, headquartered at Pademba Road in Freetown, has compiled a series of audios and videos from various locations that raise concerns regarding statements attributed to Dr. Kamara. In one of the videos, he is heard referring to himself as the “President-elect of Sierra Leone” and endorsing claims of his assumed position ahead of officially taking office.
In a letter addressed to Dr. Kamara, the CID has requested his presence at the unit’s headquarters on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 14:00 hours, to clarify these statements and resolve any related issues.

Shame on you lot for picking on issues to distract Sierra Leoneans and the international community. The Drugs Scandal is massive to be swept under the carpet just like that. Dr. Samura MW Kamara is the legitimate President of Sierra Leone and people across the country and internationally will continue to recognise him as President. You’re looking to help Maada Bio start a new war in Sierra Leone but Dr. Samura is far more civilised and peaceful than the APC Leadership and the Paopa Bio put together. Focus on your druglords son in law who MUST be extradited to the Netherlands to serve his 24 year sentence. Dr. Samura MW Kamara President Elect is untouchable!
