Dr Samura Kamara has witnessed the opening of the APC Multi-purpose Building at Mayenkineh Constituency 113, in the outskirt of Freetown.
The multi-purpose building is going to accommodate an ataya base, office space for a sitting Councillor, hall for social programmes and Secretariat for the party in that constituency.
The modernized multi-purpose ataya base building is initiated and funded by Hon. Rugiatu Rosy Kanu and other like minds party stalwarts.
The commissioning ceremony of this sophisticated building attracted big guns of the party like Hon. Chernor Maju Bah, Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, Hon. Cecilia Bangura and host of other party echelons.
Hon.Rugiatu Rossy Kanu the host MP recounted on how the construction of such structure came about.
She said the idea to transform the dilapidated building was as a result of her first visitation she made to donate a plasma to the ataya base. To her dismay, the said structure was a complete eye sore as it was not even fit to hang a plasma not to talk of other facilities.
As a result of such ugly state of the structure , she was moved to undertake such venture in order to transform the structure to what it’s today.
She further that the structure has a facility for a Councillor Office , Caretaker office and a Multi-purpose hall.
Hon. Rugiatu concluded by thanking the Timbo family for donating the portion of land where the structure occupied.
Hon. Chericoco who was also present thanked Hon. Rosy and the Constituency leadership of the party.
He concluded that the people of Mayenkineh have sent a message. Despite in opposition and the endless harassment of party’s members by the Bio-led government, yet members and supporters of the party are resilient and showing their unabated love for the party.
Dr. Samura Kamara who served as guest speaker started by profusely thanking the people of Mayenkineh especially comrades of the indomitable APC party, he heaped praises on Hon. Rugiatu Rosy Kanu for such a show of love for her party and her people as well. Dr. Samura also thanked Cllr. Sheku Deen Mansaray and all comrades that supported this good venture.
He paid special emphasis on the women who are the backbone of the party. So it was not a surprise to see such crowd of women in their red attires supporting their colleague woman.
Dr. Samura Kamara talked on so many topical issues like the hike in prices of foodstuffs , hike in transportation, fuel , bad governance by the Bio-led government and the persistent sufferings which the ordinary Man is faced with.
He further that the Bio-led government has succeeded in crippling our institutions and our economy as well. He described the action less and voisiforous leader as a talk much and do less leader. As for him, a leader should do and talk later.
He concluded by encouraging other MPs to do like wise in order for them to have address in the party as Hon. Rosy has already secured an address in the party.
