Joseph Sannoh, a senior citizen and the chairman of the Salone Association of Bloggers, has apologized to the Minister of Information and Civic Education for making hurtful comments.
Sannoh acknowledged his mistake, stating, “I have said things that did not go down well with you. I’m sorry for all those things I said.”
He clarified the reasons behind his words, emphasizing that both he and the Minister had learned valuable lessons from the situation.
In response, the Minister shared his perspective, stating, “Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space, there is the power to choose your response. And in one’s response lies growth and freedom. That’s why I chose not to respond.”
The misunderstanding between the Minister and Sannoh occurred after the Director of Communication at the Ministry of Information and Civic Education distanced the Ministry from the newly formed Salone Association of Bloggers, with Sannoh serving as its head.
Following the viral spread of this information on social media, Sannoh posted a video in which he accused the Minister of disrespecting First Lady Fatima Bio and Anti-Corruption Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala, both of whom were involved in the launch of the organization.
Sannoh also criticized the Minister’s role, saying he was absent during the efforts to help President Julius Maada Bio become president, suggesting that others were more qualified for the Ministerial position.
However, Sannoh expressed a willingness to work with the Minister, stating that his association was open to giving him the opportunity to guide the organization toward growth. He added that there was no need for the Director’s statement, which had sparked the controversy.
Hmmmm this our senior citizen is just Belittling himself everyday, Sannoh is a senior confused citizen.
Sannoh needs to be appoint as the minister of bloggers
