In the bid to heighten the fight to improve the sustainable development of women and children, representatives from Save the Children International have engaged the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone Fatima Bio.
Save the Children International is a leading children’s charity organisation and their engagement was centered around issues that will address pressing concerns impacting women and children in Sierra Leone.
Patrick Analo, the Country Director of Save the Children Sierra Leone, introduced the delegation and reiterated their steadfast commitment to supporting the First Lady’s initiatives in this realm.
First Lady Fatima Bio appreciated their efforts in the fight to protect women and children as well as their extensive humanitarian work on a global scale.
The discussion also looked at the ongoing endeavours to enhance the lives of girls and women. Save the Children commended her initiatives, such as the “Hands of Our Girls” campaign and the distribution of free sanitary pads, citing their positive impact on education and health.
They also established a strong partnership between the First Lady and Save the Children, cementing their shared objective of empowering girls and fostering a brighter future for all children in Sierra Leone, on the aim to address pressing challenges and cultivate a more just and inclusive society for all.
