Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh has emphasized the government’s steadfast commitment to upholding peace and democratic principles within the nation.

Drawing insights from recent resolutions that emerged from the mediated dialogue between the government and the main opposition, the All Peoples Congress Party (APC), Sengeh underscored the collective resolve to denounce any acts that threaten national harmony.

Both parties expressed strong disapproval of individuals, both domestically and internationally, who partake in or propagate hate speeches, incite violence, or engage in activities that disrupt national cohesion.

Chief Minister Sengeh was clear in conveying the government’s intention. He wrote, “The government of Sierra Leone and the APC party strictly condemn all citizens at home and abroad who incite violence, spread hate speech and disrupt national cohesion (online and offline) and the government will continue all efforts to bring those involved to justice”.
